How to rename the Recycle Bin

FOR WIN 7

• Open RUN( Win Key + R or open it from the start menu)
• Type 'regedit' and press OK.

Navigate to the following branch:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

Now rename the default folder according to you choice.

FOR WIN XP

• Open RUN( Win Key + R or open it from the start menu)
• Type 'regedit' and press OK.
• Click on the plus (+) sign next to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder.
• Scroll down until you see CLSID folder and expand that.
• Scroll down until you see {645FF040-5081-101B-9408-00AA002F9543}. Expand it and click on the ShellFolder. Double click on Attributes on the right side. Change the data value from 40 01 00 20 to 50 01 00 20. Then double click Call ForAttributes and change the value data to 0. Click File and Exit.
• Right click on Recycle Bin on your Desktop and Select Rename and change the name to what you would like.
